Robert Holzer is an award-winning 20-year veteran of the digital marketing and advertising community. His unique ability to navigate both the creative as well as the business side of agency life is crucial to the growth of Matter Unlimited and his global vision has been integral in the firm’s success. Rob consistently generates innovative client strategies and leads the development of high-level branding, digital marketing and advertising approaches for the agency’s clientele.
Prior to creating Matter, Rob was CEO and founder of Syrup which he created in 1998. At Syrup, Rob spearheaded business development, strategic planning, creative, as well as the expansion of client relationships. With more than a decade of marketing strategy experience spanning the luxury, fashion and technology industries he saw an opportunity to work with clients on a level that most agencies only talk about. In 2007, he successfully navigated the company through their acquisition by LBi, the largest International digital agency network. His impressive client roster includes PUMA, GE, Coty Prestige Fragrances, Clinique, Calvin Klein, News Corp, MTV/Viacom, DOW, Gucci Group, Bottega Veneta, Christian Dior, Dow, Marc Jacobs, L’Oréal, Speedo, Google, and AOL among others.
Rob has served as an industry expert for the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB), Sustainable Brands Conference, AIGA, The Art Director’s Club, The One Club, NYU, and the League of Advertisers and is often asked to appear as guest speaker on Internet strategy and Integrated Advertising. In 2008, Rob was invited to the Berkman Center at Harvard Law School to discuss his creation of the pro-Obama website HopeActChange.com and the impact of social media on the 2008 primary and general election.
