Florida International University’s College of Business Administration will host the 2012 Americas Venture Capital Conference: Dec. 13-14 in Miami. 21212 is a proud partner of the conference.

Entrepreneurial firms doing business in Latin America and South Florida are invited to apply to present their businesses to an audience of venture capitalists and other strategic investors. There will be two tracks of companies: Start-Ups, companies with the potential for positive gross margins looking to raise early stage financing between $ 500,000 and $ 1,000,000; and Later Stage, companies with existing positive gross margins looking to raise growth capital between $ 1,000,000 and $ 10,000,000.

Last year’s conference was attended by renowned entrepreneurs and investors, who provided their invaluable experience and expertise to participating companies, helping them gain insights into how world class entrepreneurs and investors approach opportunities.  Success stories? Open English, 2010 FIU’s AVCC winner, recently raised 43 million.

Applicants are required to submit a two-minute video about their companies, along with a short presentation with a prescribed outline found on the conference website, www.avcc.fiu.edu. The application deadline is September 14th.
